Common Questions
Do I need a book of business to join OGC?
No. We do not require a book of business or impose origination quotas. Our model rewards attorneys who contribute to the firm’s growth through excellent client work, collaboration, and relationship building.
What kind of administrative support does OGC provide?
Our Business Operations team handles billing, marketing, business development, client success, and IT — giving you the freedom to focus on client work.
What technology and equipment are provided?
We offer our lawyers the same high-caliber tools used by leading legal departments, along with secure laptops and collaboration tools designed for seamless client service and cybersecurity standards.
How does OGC build and maintain firm culture in a remote environment?
Connection is core to who we are. We host an annual in-person gathering, as well as regional events for our attorneys. Also, quarterly virtual town halls, regular practice group meetings, and other firmwide initiatives help keep our remote team engaged, aligned, and connected year-round.
How are new attorneys onboarded and integrated?
Every new partner goes through a structured onboarding process that includes introductions to key firm contacts, practice group leaders, and operational teams. Our “Get to Know Your Partner” series helps new attorneys build relationships and visibility across the firm from day one.
How do attorneys build a rewarding practice at OGC?
The lawyers who succeed here share a common mindset: they’re curious, collaborative, and proactive about connection. They partner with our Business Development team, stay engaged with colleagues, and raise their profiles through thought leadership, CLEs, and industry involvement. Success at OGC is built through relationships—inside and outside the firm.
Does OGC offer benefits?
Yes. OGC provides a 401(k) plan, professional liability insurance, and vacation coverage, along with the flexibility to set your own hours so you can have time for what matters most — family, caregiving, volunteering, or travel.
