Danny Lee is a former Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel with more than 25 years of experience advising companies across the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and government contracting sectors. His practice spans a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, government contracting, commercial agreements, regulatory affairs, ethics and compliance, supply chain compliance, risk management, and litigation.

Danny is a trusted strategic advisor to CEOs, executive leadership teams, and boards of directors, recognized for balancing legal risk with practical business objectives and building strong cross-functional partnerships. Clients value his ability to navigate complex legal and business issues, support strategic transactions and growth initiatives, and align legal strategy with operational priorities.

Prior to joining OGC, Danny spent the majority of his legal career in senior in-house leadership roles across the aerospace and defense sector.

He served nearly fourteen years with Textron Inc., one of the world’s premier multi-industry companies with a $14 billion portfolio, including Bell, Cessna, Beechcraft, and Textron Systems, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Bell Textron. In that role, Danny led legal strategy across major defense and commercial programs, including multiple ACAT-I programs; advised on strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances; managed complex IP, products liability, and government contract disputes; and oversaw enterprise-wide ethics and compliance programs encompassing FCPA, anti-bribery, data privacy, and record retention.

Danny later joined Kaman Corporation as VP, General Counsel, and Secretary, where he advised the board of directors and executive leadership on corporate governance, SEC compliance, shareholder relations, and enterprise risk. He oversaw all SEC filings; including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, proxy statements, and annual meeting preparation; and managed the company’s comprehensive compliance program covering FCPA, data privacy, antitrust, and federal and state regulatory requirements. During his tenure, he led the legal workstream supporting Kaman’s successful sale to Arcline Investment Management, shepherding the company through its transition from a publicly traded entity to private ownership while ensuring full compliance with SEC regulations and seamless post-acquisition integration.

Most recently, Danny served as Managing Partner of K&L Consulting LLC, a Keller, Texas-based advisory firm, where he advised aerospace and defense companies on federal acquisition and defense contracting matters, international expansion, government procurement, and commercial compliance frameworks, including Direct Commercial Sale and Industrial Participation requirements in the UAE, Canada, and South Korea.

Earlier in his career, Danny served as an officer in the U.S. Army JAG Corps and as Associate Counsel in the government contracts practice at the prominent Texas law firm, Gardere, Wynne & Sewell.

Danny earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and his Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University. He is a member of the Oklahoma State Bar and holds a security clearance. He resides in Round Rock, Texas.
