Jeanne Augspurger brings decades of leadership experience across private practice, government, higher education, and the nonprofit sector, giving her a unique, cross-disciplinary perspective on solving problems and creating opportunities. Her career has been defined by helping organizations navigate complex decisions that sit at the intersection of legal risk, business strategy, public policy, and stakeholder interests.

Known for aligning legal strategy with organizational objectives and providing practical, solutions-oriented advice, Jeanne regularly handles complex commercial and transactional matters, board governance and compliance, real estate and construction, public-private partnerships, procurement, and litigation and risk management. She is especially skilled at helping clients navigate high-stakes decisions, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and move high-profile initiatives forward. Whether guiding a nonprofit board through governance reform, structuring a public-private real estate venture, or managing risk across a multi-stakeholder initiative, Jeanne brings clarity, creativity, and long-term strategic insight to every engagement.

Jeanne also counsels GCs and in-house legal teams on the practical use of AI — what it’s good for, what it isn’t, and how to get useful output from it — and presented a 2026 Lawline program, “AI in Law: Is the Billable Hour Dead?”

Prior to joining OGC, Jeanne held numerous leadership roles in law, government, and exempt organizations, including President and CEO of the Jacksonville Civic Council, where she worked closely with national and regional business executives to identify and solve complex economic and public policy challenges affecting Northeast Florida. Earlier, she served as General Counsel and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Florida State College at Jacksonville, leading the institution’s legal department and overseeing all legal, compliance, governance, and regulatory matters. Jeanne also served as Executive Director of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, Northeast Florida’s preeminent economic development agency, where she led large economic development projects and oversaw public-private partnerships and community investment projects across the region.

A deeply engaged civic leader, Jeanne has actively led and advised numerous boards and commissions throughout her career, including the Florida State University National Alumni Board, Jacksonville Transportation Authority, and Goodwill Industries of North Florida, the Jacksonville Charter Revision Commission, state judicial nominating commissions, and the boards of the YMCA and Leadership Jacksonville. She has been honored with a variety of recognition and awards, most recently being named to the 2022 First Coast Business Hall of Fame and serving as Chairman for the same event in 2024. She currently serves on the board of the Florida Council on Economic Education.

Jeanne resides in Jacksonville and Amelia Island, Florida with her husband Mark and their Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Major Tom. Jeanne’s daughters, Yali and Sarah, are pursuing careers in medicine and business. A self-described Navy brat, Jeanne was raised in Florida and the Republic of Panama. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and fishing, and is an avid live music fan known to travel to see her favorite bands.
