Professional Summary
Doug Graham brings more than 30 years of experience as both in-house counsel and private practitioner, advising businesses ranging from Fortune 50 companies to private equity–backed ventures. He counsels clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including private equity, financing, and M&A; commercial transactions; licensing and IP portfolio management; employment and labor; real estate; and regulatory compliance. Known for his business-focused, pragmatic approach, Doug has led legal strategies that not only mitigate risk and cost but also deliver measurable value — from uncovering efficiencies in pay practices and securing regulatory exemptions worth over $10 million, to negotiating contract terms that shift risk to counterparties while preserving key business relationships.
Doug has served on the boards of many non-profit organizations, and currently is a Board member and Treasurer of the Center for Disability and Elder Law, and Board member of the Respiratory Health Association. A lifelong advocate for youth, public health, environmental sustainability, and wildlife preservation — passions that trace back to his Boy Scout days —Doug brings the same commitment to service outside the office as he does in his legal practice. An Illinois native and devoted Chicago and Michigan sports fan, Doug has recently expanded his loyalties to teams in Colorado, New York, and Massachusetts, where his children now live.
