Jamie Duberman is a seasoned real estate attorney with more than 30 years of experience delivering practical, business-minded counsel.

Jamie advises clients nationwide across all areas of real estate law, including:

  • Commercial, industrial, residential, and new development transactions

  • Financing, title insurance, mortgage lending, and asset-based lending
  • Loan and lease workouts, restructurings, defaults, forbearance arrangements, and negotiated resolutions

Clients frequently rely on Jamie as a central legal resource spanning their real estate, contractual, claims, and corporate matters.

Before joining Outside GC, Jamie founded and served as President of Duberman Associates, a full-service real estate law practice with offices in New York and New Jersey. His practice focused on complex real estate transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, workouts, foreclosures, short sales, and development projects. He regularly advised clients on transaction structure, letters of intent, financing strategies, tax considerations, and asset-based lending.

Earlier in his career, Jamie served for a decade as General Counsel to Gateway Title, a regional title insurance agency underwritten by First American and Stewart Title, where he advised on title insurance, underwriting, and transactional matters. He also served as General Counsel to Garden State Mortgage, where he supported commercial and residential lending operations, developed strategic lender relationships, and advised on licensing, underwriting, marketing, originations, processing, and closings of single family, multifamily, mixed use, and SBA 504 owner-user properties.

Jamie earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and his business degree from the Hofstra University School of Business. He is licensed in New York and New Jersey. When not working, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid cyclist and swimmer.
